Easy Cheesy Rolls!

Ok so I am in my kitchen cooking away for Thanksgiving tomorrow when I come across a cookbook my mom hand made for me a few years back when I moved away from home. It's so comforting cooking all the things I grew up on and what can I say, my mom is an AMAZING cook! I'd like to think it runs in the family. :)

So I was going to go buy some rolls for tomorrow and then I came across this recipe my mom had in my book for easy rolls. I had all the ingredients and decided to give them a try. OH MY! They are delicious and bring back so many childhood memories! She used to make these ALL the time and they taste just the same! After eating one (ok I had two), I decided I had to share this with all of my dear friends in case you need to make some sort of rolls to go with your Thanksgiving feast!

Ok heres all that you need:

2 cups self rising flour
2 heaping teaspoons of Mayo
Buttermilk or whole milk (buttermilk is SO much better!)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Make sure to preheat your oven to 350 first and spray a muffin pan with cooking spray

Now all you do is put all ingredients minus the buttermilk into a bowl. Once everything is in your bowl add the buttermilk....there is no specific amount just add a little at a time and stir..should be the consistency of pancake batter. Heres what mine looks like....

Now spoon the mixture into a greased muffin pan and bake for about 20 min!

They should look like this when done and brown around the sides..

Oh so delicious! Enjoy!

Madi's 2nd Birthday Party!

First of all I CANT believe my baby is 2 years old!!!! It's hard to believe she has grown so much. I am so proud of how smart, sweet, and beautiful she is.
She has really been in to Elmo and all of Sesame Street for a while so I thought it would make such a great colorful birthday theme. It took me 4 months to plan and make most of the decor and I am super happy with how it all turned out. My dad flew in a few nights before the party. He and Jeremy helped me set up everything the night before her birthday. So as soon as Madi went to bed we began! When she woke up the next morning all she could say was "WOW It's my birthday party!!!! I LOVE IT!" And that made it all worth it <3.
Thank you to everyone who helped me plan and craft and to everyone who came to celebrate with us! And for those of you who couldn't make it here are some pics of our sweet girls special day!

Valentines Day

One thing I hate more than anything (besides nasty stinky feet, yuck) is being alone. I have always hated being alone. Being a Marine's wife, I find myself alone more than ever before. So why do I do it you ask? Because I LOVE my husband MORE than I hate being alone. I would wait forever if I had to for him (cheesy but TRUE). This life is not easy and a lot of people say it takes a special woman to marry a military man, but I disagree. I don't think it takes a certain strong, special woman because I do not consider myself strong or special....I just LOVE my husband and would do anything for him. That is all it takes. Love.
That is a pretty strong word. I think we use it more than we should in this world. It is a very sacred thing and I do say it every day but when I say it, it is not out of habit. I truly mean it every time.

To those who have husbands who will not be here this valentines day, remember that you are on their mind and we are all thinking about you. Spoil yourselves today and know that somewhere out there, someone loves you very much. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

New Change, New ME!

So lately I have been feeling sorry for myself, thinking "Why can I not get motivated?" and also really wanting to work but not wanting to leave my baby with someone else to care for her. Let's face it. No one can take better care of a child than their mother! So I recently changed my eating habits and started actually working out more! I feel amazing and only after 1 week, I can fit into my pre pregnancy jeans!!! I haven't had my first weigh in and frankly I don't even care if and how much weight I have lost. I can tell by my clothes and that is enough for me :). So if you are wanting to lose weight, stop trying all those fad diets and simply eat better (fruits, veggies, smaller portions) and get up and DO SOMETHING! You will feel amazing!

Now about the career thing. I have grown up going to Premier Jewelry parties all the time. It's a big thing in the south. In California, it's pretty rare but is getting bigger everyday. So I contacted someone and made the jump to join her team (thank you Liz!). Premier is a Christian based company (which makes me super excited) and they sale high fashion, great quality jewelry at affordable prices! If you haven't heard of us, look us up! www.premierdesigns.com

Also please check out my facebook page and "like" it. If you would like me to mail you a catalog let me know and I will get your address from you! Here is my page... Premier Designs- Kayla Keller

Merry Christmas Everyone!

As our first Christmas alone without all of our family, it was pretty successful but very quiet. While the quietness was relaxing, it wasn't the same without seeing everyone! Madi had a blast opening presents and playing with her new toys. I enjoyed cooking a nice dinner for everyone, and Jeremy enjoyed playing with Madi and eating the good food haha! Here are a few pics of our day...

Peppermint Plate

This is  fun project to do with your children, friends, and family! My husband and I made a peppermint plate for Santa's cookies. Madi didn't take part in this because she was already in bed but I can't wait to show her in the morning :).

So it is super easy. Just get a big bag of peppermints, any color you want.

Arrange them on a cookie sheet on wax paper in any design you like. (We were going to make a Christmas tree but couldn't find green peppermints anywhere.)

Preheat oven to 350 and bake for 8-9 minutes!

When it is done let cool for atleast 10 minutes.

Here is ours :) We did a simple round plate this year.
